Steven Masur conducted a workshop at Fred Benenson’s class that is part of NYU’s ITP Program. Steven discussed three strikes and you’re out laws and covered the topic of ISP Licensing as applied to the internet downloading of content, which aims to resolve the issue of uncompensated downloads, or “internet piracy.” Steve gave the students a brief description of the many arguments for and against this concept and asked for their thoughts and ideas on better ways to handle the problem.
