Gianncarlo Ortega focuses his practice on transactional legal matters with a specialization in real estate and business transactions. He has extensive experience assisting investors, operators, managers, owners, lenders and developers in structuring, negotiating, and conducting sophisticated commercial and residential real estate transactions including the acquisition, disposition, leasing, conversion, development, licensing and financing of both individual properties and multi-asset portfolios. He also concentrates his practice on helping businesses, condominium associations, cooperatives, and property management firms navigate the legal landscape.
Gianncarlo graduated cum laude from the University of Florida, earning his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science with minors in both Business Administration and Entrepreneurship. In recognition of his academic achievements, he was awarded the University of Florida Multicultural Award for Academic Excellence.
Gianncarlo earned his Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Notre Dame Law School. During law school, Gianncarlo served as an executive board editor for the Notre Dame Journal of International and Comparative Law and clerked for the St. Joseph County public defender’s office representing indigent clients in a multitude of capacities.
